अनुवाद

That best of kings, though still a child yet noble in mind, ruled the kingdom then together with those same ministers and the purohita, just as his valiant great-grandfather had ruled — the eldest of the line, the bull among the Kurus. Then, seeing the king now grown, the scourge of foes, the ministers of that king went to Suvarnavarman, king of Kashi, and began to court Vapushtama for him. And that king, having duly tested the suitor, gave Vapushtama to the hero of the Kurus in accordance with dharma; and he, having obtained her, was filled with joy and set his mind on no other woman whatsoever. With a serene heart, the valiant one roamed amid blossoming forests and lakes — thus did that best of royal men take his delight, as Pururavas once did on obtaining Urvashi. And Vapushtama, having obtained so desired and handsome a husband-king, in the hours of leisure delighted him with love — she, the loveliest of the dwellers of the royal chambers.
