देवनागरी
ताव् इन्द्रलोकं निर्जित्य यक्षरक्षोगणांस् तथा ॥
खेचराण्य् अपि भूतानि जिग्यतुस् तीव्रविक्रमौ ॥
अन्तर्भूमिगतान् नागाञ् जित्वा तौ च महासुरौ ॥
समुद्रवासिनः सर्वान् म्लेच्छजातीन् विजिग्यतुः ॥

अनुवाद
"Having conquered the realm of Indra and the hosts of yakṣas and rākṣasas, they conquered the sky-going beings too, terrible in their might; having conquered the nāgas dwelling in the depths of the earth, those two great asuras conquered all the mlecchas dwelling by the sea as well."

Here the power of evil extends over all three worlds. It is telling that heaven, the netherworld, and the seacoast alike are conquered: violence unrestrained by anything seizes everything. Here is revealed that power without the rein of dharma spreads without limit, trampling all before it. Thus the scripture shows the all-encompassing conquest of the asuras; and the universe groans beneath their heel.
