युधिष्ठिर उवाच
विस्तरेणाहम् इच्छामि नलस्य सुमहात्मनः ॥
चरितं वदतां श्रेष्ठ तन् ममाख्यातुम् अर्हसि ॥

अनुवाद
Yudhishthira said: "Best of speakers, I wish to hear in full detail the deeds of the great-souled Nala. You must tell them to me."
