'The gods, following dharma, went to the oceans, rivers, lakes and sacred abodes; through austerity, sacrifices, gifts and blessings, O Pandava, they cast off all sins and attained the highest good. Thus, being givers and performers of sacred rites in every way, the wise ones went to the tirthas and thereby obtained supreme prosperity. And you too, lord of kings, having bathed in the tirthas together with your younger brothers, will regain that Lakshmi -- this is the eternal path. Just as king Nriga, Shibi Aushinara, Bhagiratha, Vasumana, Gaya, Puru and Pururavas, constantly practicing austerity, touching the sacred water, visiting the tirthas and beholding great souls, were purified and obtained holy fame and wealth, O lord of the people -- so too will you, great king, obtain vast prosperity. Just as Ikshvaku, together with his sons, people and kinsmen, as Muchukunda, Mandhata and king Marutta obtained holy fame by the power of austerity, as did the gods and the divine sages, so will you obtain it in full. But the sons of Dhritarashtra, mastered by pride and delusion, will soon perish like the daityas -- there is no doubt.'

Lomasha does not promise an easy road, but shows the law: Lakshmi returns where there is dharma, purification and patience. The victory of the Pandavas must ripen, not be plucked before its time.
