वैशंपायन उवाच
मार्कण्डेयादिभिर् विप्रैः पाण्डवैश् च महात्मभिः ॥
कथाभिर् अनुकूलाभिः सहासित्वा जनार्दनः ॥
ततस् तैः संविदं कृत्वा यथावन् मधुसूदनः ॥
आरुरुक्षू रथं सत्याम् आह्वयाम् आस केशवः ॥
सत्यभामा ततस् तत्र स्वजित्वा द्रुपदात्मजाम् ॥
उवाच वचनं हृद्यं यथाभावसमाहितम् ॥
vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca
mārkaṇḍeyādibhir vipraiḥ pāṇḍavaiś ca mahātmabhiḥ ||
kathābhir anukūlābhiḥ sahāsitvā janārdanaḥ ||
tatas taiḥ saṃvidaṃ kṛtvā yathāvan madhusūdanaḥ ||
ārurukṣū rathaṃ satyām āhvayām āsa keśavaḥ ||
satyabhāmā tatas tatra svajitvā drupadātmajām ||
uvāca vacanaṃ hṛdyaṃ yathābhāvasamāhitam ||
Vaishampayana said: "Having spent time with Markandeya and the other brahmins, as well as with the great-souled Pandavas, in pleasant conversation, Madhusudana then took leave of them as was proper. Wishing to mount his chariot, Keshava called for Satya. Then Satyabhama embraced the daughter of Drupada and spoke to her heartfelt words, full of sincere feeling."
