अनुवाद

And in these pavilions there were garlands, meats, choice foods and drinks, wells of various shapes able to refresh the heart, reservoirs of various shapes, provisions, and spacious chambers. And having reached these pavilions, where he was attended like a very god by the servants of Duryodhana stationed in various places, Shalya arrived at another house of entertainment, splendid as the abode of the gods. And there, met with exquisite comforts fit for beings surpassing man, he considered himself superior even to the lord of the gods himself, and thought of Indra as base compared to himself. And this most eminent of kshatriyas, greatly pleased, asked the servants, saying: "Where are those men of Yudhishthira who prepared these resting places?" "Let those who did this be brought before me. I deem them worthy of my reward. I must reward them — may this please the son of Kunti!" The astonished servants told Duryodhana everything. And when Shalya was extremely pleased and ready to give even his life, Duryodhana, who had remained hidden, came forward and revealed himself to his maternal uncle.
