जनार्दनं चापि समेत्य तात; महामात्रं वीर्यवताम् उदारम् ॥
अनामयं मद्वचनेन पृच्छेर्; धृतराष्ट्रः पाण्डवैः शान्तिम् ईप्सुः ॥
न तस्य किं चिद् वचनं न कुर्यात्; कुन्तीपुत्रो वासुदेवस्य सूत ॥
प्रियश् चैषाम् आत्मसमश् च कृष्णो; विद्वांश् चैषां कर्मणि नित्ययुक्तः ॥
समानीय पाण्डवान् सृञ्जयांश् च; जनार्दनं युयुधानं विराटम् ॥

priyaś caiṣām ātmasamaś ca kṛṣṇo; vidvāṃś caiṣāṃ karmaṇi nityayuktaḥ ||
samānīya pāṇḍavān sṛñjayāṃś ca; janārdanaṃ yuyudhānaṃ virāṭam ||
anāmayaṃ madvacanena pṛccheḥ; sarvāṃs tathā draupadeyāṃś ca pañca ||
yad yat tatra prāptakālaṃ parebhyas; tvaṃ manyethā bhāratānāṃ hitaṃ ca ||
tat tad bhāṣethāḥ saṃjaya rājamadhye; na mūrchayed yan na bhavec ca yuddham ||
O Suta, there is nothing that Yudhishthira, son of Kunti, would not do at Krishna's word. Keshava is as dear to them as their own selves. Possessed of great knowledge, he is ever devoted to their cause. You shall also ask, on my behalf, after the welfare of all the assembled sons of Pandu, the Srinjayas, Satyaki, and Virata, as well as all five sons of Draupadi, speaking to them as my own emissary. And whatever you deem fitting and beneficial for the race of Bharata, all that, O Sanjaya, you must speak among those kings -- everything that, in truth, will neither give offense nor provoke war.
