Sanjaya: As for Krishna — his wife, his kinsmen, his kinsmen, his own self, and the whole earth, if placed on one side of a scale, would weigh no more than Dhananjaya alone on the other. That Vasudeva on whom Arjuna relies is irresistible, and the army wherein Keshava stands becomes invincible everywhere. Therefore listen, O child, to the counsel of those well-wishers of yours whose words are always for your good. Take your aged grandfather Bhishma, son of Shantanu, as your guide. Hear what I say, and what these well-wishers of the Kurus say — Drona, Kripa, Vikarna, and King Vahlika. All of them are the same as I am. You ought to regard them just as you regard me, for, O Bharata, they are all versed in morality and bear you the same affection as I do. The panic and flight, before your very eyes, of all your armies together with your brothers in the city of Virata, after the king's surrender — indeed, that wondrous tale that was heard of the encounter in that city between one man and many — is proof enough (of the wisdom of what I say). When Arjuna alone achieves all this, what will the Pandavas not achieve united together? Take them by the hand as your brothers, and grant them their share of the kingdom."
