विष्णुर् उवाच
ईशस् त्वम् असि लोकानां चराणाम् अचराश् च ये ॥
त्वया दत्तम् अदत्तं कः कर्तुम् उत्सहते विभो ॥
कण्व उवाच
प्रादाच् छक्रस् ततस् तस्मै पन्नगायायुर् उत्तमम् ॥
न त्व् एनम् अमृतप्राशं चकार बलवृत्रहा ॥
लब्ध्वा वरं तु सुमुखः सुमुखः संबभूव ह ॥
कृतदारो यथाकामं जगाम च गृहान् प्रति ॥
नारदस् त्व् आर्यकश् चैव कृतकार्यौ मुदा युतौ ॥
प्रतिजग्मतुर् अभ्यर्च्य देवराजं महाद्युतिम् ॥

īśas tvam asi lokānāṃ carāṇām acarāś ca ye ||
tvayā dattam adattaṃ kaḥ kartum utsahate vibho ||
kaṇva uvāca
prādāc chakras tatas tasmai pannagāyāyur uttamam ||
na tv enam amṛtaprāśaṃ cakāra balavṛtrahā ||
labdhvā varaṃ tu sumukhaḥ sumukhaḥ saṃbabhūva ha ||
kṛtadāro yathākāmaṃ jagāma ca gṛhān prati ||
nāradas tv āryakaś caiva kṛtakāryau mudā yutau ||
pratijagmatur abhyarcya devarājaṃ mahādyutim ||
Those waters, O Matali, which yielded these treasures, were mingled with the milk of these four cows. As for Surabhi, the milk she gives becomes Svaha for those who live on Svadha, Svadha for those who live on Svadha, and Amrita for those who live on Amrita. The verse that the dwellers of Rasatala sang in ancient times can still be heard in the world from the learned. Here is that verse: ‘Neither in the realm of the nagas, nor in Svarga, nor in Vimana, nor in Tripishtapa is there so happy a dwelling as in Rasatala!’
