अनुवाद

Addressed thus, Vishnu said: "You are the Lord of all beings, moving and unmoving. Who, O lord, would refuse a gift bestowed by you?" At these words Shakra granted this Naga a lifespan; yet the slayer of Vala and Vritra did not make him a drinker of Amrita. Sumukha, receiving this gift, truly became Sumukha—"the fair of face"—for his face was suffused with the marks of joy. And having married Matali's daughter, he returned home in high spirits. And Narada and Aryaka, rejoicing likewise at the success of their aim, departed, having bowed to the glorious lord of the gods."
