"'Through you was born one son, a lord of charity; another, a hero; yet another devoted to truth and dharma; and yet another, a performer of sacrifices. So go now, O fair-hipped one: through your sons your father is saved, four kings are saved, and I too, O slender-waisted one.' Then Galava, having received permission from Suparna, the devourer of serpents, returned this maiden to her father and went into the forest."

Galava sums up the course of Madhavi's life: her sons saved her father, the kings, and the disciple himself. The text does not conceal the harshness of her fate, but shows her as the bearer of a great dharma of lineage and gift, through whom many are freed from debt.
