भवान् उशनसा तुल्यो हितैषी च सदा मम ॥
असंहार्यः स्थितो धर्मे स नः सेनापतिर् भव ॥
रश्मीवताम् इवादित्यो वीरुधाम् इव चन्द्रमाः ॥
कुबेर इव यक्षाणां मरुताम् इव वासवः ॥
पर्वतानां यथा मेरुः सुपर्णः पतताम् इव ॥
कुमार इव भूतानां वसूनाम् इव हव्यवाट् ॥
भवता हि वयं गुप्ताः शक्रेणेव दिवौकसः ॥
अनाधृष्या भविष्यामस् त्रिदशानाम् अपि ध्रुवम् ॥
प्रयातु नो भवान् अग्रे देवानाम् इव पावकिः ॥
वयं त्वाम् अनुयास्यामः सौरभेया इवर्षभम् ॥

anādhṛṣyā bhaviṣyāmas tridaśānām api dhruvam ||
prayātu no bhavān agre devānām iva pāvakiḥ ||
vayaṃ tvām anuyāsyāmaḥ saurabheyā ivarṣabham ||
You are equal to Ushanas, and you have always wished me well; you are unshakeable and firmly established in dharma. Therefore become our commander-in-chief. As the sun among the radiant ones, as the moon among the plants, as Kubera among the yakshas and Vasava among the Maruts; as Meru among the mountains, as Suparna among the fliers, as Kumara among beings and Havyavahana among the Vasus, so are you. Under your protection, we, like the celestials under the protection of Shakra, shall surely be unassailable even to the gods. Let your honor march before us, as Pavaki marches before the gods; we shall follow you, as cows follow their bull."
