अनुवाद

This King Hiranyavarman was a great lord among the Dasharnas: hard to overcome, possessing a great army, and of noble spirit. When the marriage had been performed, that girl, O best of kings, reached her youth; this was the girl Shikhandini. Shikhandin, having married, returned again to Kampilya. For some time the daughter of Hiranyavarman, it is said, did not know that this girl was a woman. But then, having learned the truth about Shikhandini, she told her nurses and companions in shame that this Shikhandini, daughter of the king of Panchala, was a girl. Then those Dasharna nurses, O tiger among kings, fell into great sorrow from grief and sent word.
