दशार्णराजो राजंस् त्वाम् इदं वचनम् अब्रवीत् ॥
अभिषङ्गात् प्रकुपितो विप्रलब्धस् त्वयानघ ॥
अवमन्यसे मां नृपते नूनं दुर्मन्त्रितं तव ॥
यन् मे कन्यां स्वकन्यार्थे मोहाद् याचितवान् असि ॥
तस्याद्य विप्रलम्भस्य फलं प्राप्नुहि दुर्मते ॥
एष त्वां सजनामात्यम् उद्धरामि स्थिरो भव ॥

daśārṇarājo rājaṃs tvām idaṃ vacanam abravīt ||
abhiṣaṅgāt prakupito vipralabdhas tvayānagha ||
avamanyase māṃ nṛpate nūnaṃ durmantritaṃ tava ||
yan me kanyāṃ svakanyārthe mohād yācitavān asi ||
tasyādya vipralambhasya phalaṃ prāpnuhi durmate ||
eṣa tvāṃ sajanāmātyam uddharāmi sthiro bhava ||

अनुवाद

'O king, the king of Dasharna, enraged out of resentment and deceived by you, O blameless one, sent you this word: "O king, undoubtedly you despise me. You harbored an evil design, since out of delusion you asked for my daughter for the sake of your own daughter. O unwise one, receive today the fruit of this deception. Now I will root you out together with your kin and counselors. Brace yourself."'
