अनुवाद

To the south of Nila and to the north of Nishadha stands the eternal, great jambu tree named Sudarshana. It is holy, bears the fruit of every desire, and is visited by siddhas and charanas. After its name the eternal island is called Jambudvipa. O best of the Bharatas, the height of this king of trees, which touches the sky, is one thousand one hundred yojanas. The girth of its fruits, which differ in their sap, is one thousand five hundred cubits. As they fall to the ground, they make a loud noise, O king, and release there a silvery sap. The juice of this jambu's fruit, O lord of men, becomes a river, circles Meru on the right, and flows on to the northern Kurus. The joyful people there always drink this juice, O ruler; when they drink it, old age does not afflict them. There arises the gold called Jambunada, an ornament of the gods, and the people are born shining like the rising sun.
