एकैकशः समर्था हि यूयं सर्वे महारथाः ॥
पाण्डुपुत्रान् रणे हन्तुं ससैन्यान् किम् उ संहताः ॥
अपर्याप्तं तद् अस्माकं बलं भीष्माभिरक्षितम् ॥
पर्याप्तं त्व् इदम् एतेषां बलं पार्थिवसत्तमाः ॥
संस्थानाः शूरसेनाश् च वेणिकाः कुकुरास् तथा ॥
आरेवकास् त्रिगर्ताश् च मद्रका यवनास् तथा ॥
शत्रुंजयेन सहितास् तथा दुःशासनेन च ॥
विकर्णेन च वीरेण तथा नन्दोपनन्दकैः ॥
चित्रसेनेन सहिताः सहिताः पाणिभद्रकैः ॥
भीष्मम् एवाभिरक्षन्तु सह सैन्यपुरस्कृताः ॥

paryāptaṃ tv idam eteṣāṃ balaṃ pārthivasattamāḥ ||
saṃsthānāḥ śūrasenāś ca veṇikāḥ kukurās tathā ||
ārevakās trigartāś ca madrakā yavanās tathā ||
śatruṃjayena sahitās tathā duḥśāsanena ca ||
vikarṇena ca vīreṇa tathā nandopanandakaiḥ ||
citrasenena sahitāḥ sahitāḥ pāṇibhadrakaiḥ ||
bhīṣmam evābhirakṣantu saha sainyapuraskṛtāḥ ||

यूयं सर्वे महारथाःyūyaṃ sarve mahārathāḥyou all, great charioteers; all of you are maharathas
पाण्डुपुत्रान् रणे हन्तुम्pāṇḍuputrān raṇe hantumto slay the sons of Pandu in battle; to strike down the Pandavas in the fight
ससैन्यान् किम् उ संहताःsasainyān kim u saṃhatāḥtogether with their troops, how much more when united; with their armies, how much more so together

संस्थानाः शूरसेनाः चsaṃsthānāḥ śūrasenāḥ cathe Samsthanas and Shurasenas; the Samsthana together with the Shurasenas
वेणिकाः कुकुराः तथाveṇikāḥ kukurāḥ tathāthe Venikas and Kukuras likewise; the Venika and the Kukuras
आरेवकाः त्रिगर्ताः चārevakāḥ trigartāḥ cathe Arevakas and Trigartas; the Arevaka together with the Trigartas

तथा दुःशासनेन चtathā duḥśāsanena caand likewise with Duhshasana; and also with Duhshasana
विकर्णेन च वीरेणvikarṇena ca vīreṇaand with the hero Vikarna; together with valiant Vikarna
तथा नन्दोपनन्दकैःtathā nandopanandakaiḥand likewise with Nanda and Upananda; and with Nanda-Upananda
चित्रसेनेन सहिताःcitrasenena sahitāḥjoined with Chitrasena; united with Chitrasena
सहिताः पाणिभद्रकैःsahitāḥ pāṇibhadrakaiḥtogether with the Panibhadrakas; accompanied by the Panibhadrakas
भीष्मम् एव अभिरक्षन्तुbhīṣmam eva abhirakṣantulet them guard Bhishma alone; let them protect Bhishma alone
सह सैन्यपुरस्कृताःsaha sainyapuraskṛtāḥtogether, with troops advanced before him; having moved forward together with their armies
अनुवाद

"Each of you, great charioteers, is capable alone of slaying the sons of Pandu in battle together with their troops; what then when you are united? Our strength, guarded by Bhishma, is boundless, while their strength, O best of kings, is limited. Let the Samsthanas, Shurasenas, Venikas, Kukuras, Arevakas, Trigartas, Madrakas and Yavanas, together with Shatrunjaya, Duhshasana, valiant Vikarna, Nanda, Upananda, Chitrasena and the Panibhadrakas, advance with their troops and guard Bhishma alone."
