प्रविवेश ततस् तूर्णं क्षयं शत्रुक्षयंकरः ॥
प्रविष्टः स निशां तां च गमयाम् आस पार्थिवः ॥

āgamya tu tato rājā visṛjya ca mahājanam ||

praviṣṭaḥ sa niśāṃ tāṃ ca gamayām āsa pārthivaḥ ||
Sanjaya said: "Thus addressed, your son, lord of men, saluted his teacher with a bow of the head and departed to his own dwelling. Having returned, the king dismissed the great assembly, then swiftly entered his abode, that destroyer of foes, and having gone within, the king passed that night there."
