अभवद् भूयसी बुद्धिः संशप्तकवधे स्थिरा ॥

Seeing the army being crushed by Bhagadatta, O worthy one, while he himself was being called to battle by them — his heart became divided in two. 'Which deed would be more beneficial?' he pondered — 'should I turn back from here, or should I go to Yudhishthira?' Having weighed this by reason, O upholder of the line of Kuru, Arjuna's predominant thought became firmly fixed on the destruction of the Samshaptakas.
