समृद्धम् आयुधागारम् इदं तस्य दुरात्मनः ॥
वप्रान्ते निष्प्रतीकारम् आश्लिष्येदं कृतं महत् ॥
इदं तद् अशुभं नूनं तस्य कर्म चिकीर्षितम् ॥
प्राग् एव विदुरो वेद तेनास्मान् अन्वबोधयत् ॥
सेयम् आपद् अनुप्राप्ता क्षत्ता यां दृष्टवान् पुरा ॥
पुरोचनस्याविदितान् अस्मांस् त्वं विप्रमोचय ॥
samṛddham āyudhāgāram idaṃ tasya durātmanaḥ ||
vaprānte niṣpratīkāram āśliṣyedaṃ kṛtaṃ mahat ||
idaṃ tad aśubhaṃ nūnaṃ tasya karma cikīrṣitam ||
prāg eva viduro veda tenāsmān anvabodhayat ||
seyam āpad anuprāptā kṣattā yāṃ dṛṣṭavān purā ||
purocanasyāviditān asmāṃs tvaṃ vipramocaya ||
"This is the rich armory of that wicked-minded one, built as a great, unassailable structure adjoining the edge of the rampart. This, surely, is that very evil deed he has plotted; Vidura knew it already before, and therefore instructed us. Here has come the very calamity that Vidura foresaw before; deliver us, unknown to Purochana."

Here Yudhishthira again recalls Vidura's foresight -- and the fulfilled prediction. It is telling that the calamity came about exactly as Vidura foresaw: the righteous man's prophetic word was borne out down to the details. Here is shown the gift of foresight in one whose heart is pure and devoted to dharma: the pure sees farther than the cunning, and love foresees treachery. Telling too is the demand for secrecy -- "unknown to Purochana": the rescue must be accomplished covertly, lest the enemy get ahead of it. Thus the scripture shows how a wise warning comes to pass, and how the righteous, armed with it, turn deceit back upon the schemer himself.
