Here the assembly of gods and saints gathers around the Grandsire. It is significant that hosts of gods and ascetics "wait upon" Brahma: even the highest honor one greater than themselves. Here is revealed the hierarchy of creation, ascending to a single center. Thus scripture shows the greatness of the assembly; and before this council a plea for the salvation of the worlds will be raised.
