ततः अहम् कौरवश्रेष्ठ श्रुत्वा सर्वम् अशेषतः विनाशे शाल्वराजस्य तदा एव अकरवम् मतिम्tataḥ aham kauravaśreṣṭha śrutvā sarvam aśeṣataḥ vināśe śālvarājasya tadā eva akaravam matimthen, O best of the Kauravas, having heard everything in full, I resolved at once to destroy king Shalva

न अहत्वा तम् निवर्तिष्ये पुरीं द्वारवतीं प्रति सशाल्वं सौभनगरं हत्वा द्रष्टा अस्मि वः पुनःna ahatvā tam nivartiṣye purīṃ dvāravatīṃ prati saśālvaṃ saubhanagaraṃ hatvā draṣṭā asmi vaḥ punaḥwithout killing him I shall not return to the city of Dvaraka; having destroyed the city of Saubha together with Shalva, I shall see you again
