ततः परमसंहृष्टः प्रद्युम्नः शरम् उत्तमम् ॥
संजहार धनुःश्रेष्ठात् तूणे चैव न्यवेशयत् ॥
तत उत्थाय राजेन्द्र शाल्वः परमदुर्मनाः ॥
व्यपायात् सबलस् तूर्णं प्रद्युम्नशरपीडितः ॥
स द्वारकां परित्यज्य क्रूरो वृष्णिभिर् अर्दितः ॥
सौभम् आस्थाय राजेन्द्र दिवम् आचक्रमे तदा ॥
tataḥ paramasaṃhṛṣṭaḥ pradyumnaḥ śaram uttamam ||
saṃjahāra dhanuḥśreṣṭhāt tūṇe caiva nyaveśayat ||
tata utthāya rājendra śālvaḥ paramadurmanāḥ ||
vyapāyāt sabalas tūrṇaṃ pradyumnaśarapīḍitaḥ ||
sa dvārakāṃ parityajya krūro vṛṣṇibhir arditaḥ ||
saubham āsthāya rājendra divam ācakrame tadā ||
'Pradyumna, greatly delighted, withdrew the finest arrow from his bow and placed it in the quiver. Shalva then rose, tormented by Pradyumna's arrows, and swiftly withdrew with his army. Having abandoned Dvaraka and harassed by the Vrishnis, that cruel one mounted the Saubha and rose up into the sky.'
