译文

Then Bhishma, son of Shantanu, watching for an opening on Savyasachin's left side, fitted an arrow and struck him. Bibhatsu laughed and, with a vulture-feathered, broad-bladed shaft, cut away the bow of Bhishma, whose splendor knew no measure. After this, Kuntiputra Dhananjaya struck him in the chest with ten arrows, as he, mighty and valiant, strove to continue the fight. Overcome with pain, the great-armed son of Ganga clung to the front rail of his chariot and stood there a long while, as though ill. Then the charioteer, remembering his instructions and guarding the great warrior, drove Bhishma away, senseless.
