Arjuna said: 'The one who calls himself Ballava, your cook, O lord of men, is great-armed Bhima, terrible in speed and valor. On Mount Gandhamadana, overpowering his enemies in wrath, he brought the divine saugandhika flowers for Krishna. He too is the slayer of the gandharva and of the wicked Kichakas; he killed tigers, bears, and boars in your women's quarters. The one who was your horse-keeper is Nakula, O scourge of enemies; and the one who kept count of the cows is Sahadeva. These sons of Madri are great charioteers, handsome and renowned, adorned with fine dress and ornaments, able to command a thousand different chariots. This lotus-eyed, slender-waisted, sweetly smiling Sairandhri is Draupadi, O king; it was for her sake that the Kichakas were killed. And I am Arjuna, great king; surely my name has already reached your ears. I am Partha, younger brother of Bhima and elder of the twin brothers. We have lived happily in your house, having completed our time unrecognized, like beings dwelling in the womb.'

The revelation does not undo the past year but illumines it. Their service at Virata's court becomes proof of their patience and fidelity to their vow.
