译文

O Bharata, pondering on this day and night, I am wretched and cannot sleep, out of anxiety for the welfare of the Kauravas. Terrible destruction is about to befall the Kurus unless peace, and nothing else, puts an end to this quarrel. I am for peace with the Parthas, not for war. O child, I have always held the Pandavas to be mightier than the Kurus.'
