译文

The very clouds, O king, pour down rain upon those living in my domain, as much and whenever they wish. All my subjects, again, are devoted to religion and never fall victim to the calamities of the seasons. The Ashvins, Vayu, Agni, Indra with the Maruts, and Dharma would not dare to protect my enemies. Had they been able, by their own might, to protect my adversaries, the sons of Pritha would never have found themselves in such distress for thirteen years. Truly I tell you that neither gods, nor gandharvas, nor asuras, nor rakshasas are able to save one who has incurred my displeasure. Never before have I been uncertain about the reward due for the punishment I intended to bestow, whether upon friend or foe. If I have ever said, O scourge of foes, that something must be so, it has always been so. That is why people have always known me as one who speaks the truth. All people can bear witness to my greatness, whose fame has spread everywhere. I mention this, O king, for your information, not out of pride.
