译文

Vaishampayana said: 'Paying little heed to Dhritarashtra, son of Vichitravirya, who was about to question Partha, Karna spoke these words to the son of Dhritarashtra, encouraging the spirit of the assembled Kurus: Having learned of the false pretext under which I long ago obtained the weapon of Brahma from Rama, the latter said to me: "When your hour comes, your memory will fail you regarding this weapon." Offense, I was thus easily cursed by this great sage, my teacher. This great sage of fierce energy is able to consume even the whole Earth together with its seas.'
