译文

These vile beings, O Krishna, arise at the end of every age within their own races, to destroy their kinsmen. So too Duryodhana, the very embodiment of sin and disgrace to his race, was born at the end of an age among us, the Kurus. Therefore, O one of fierce valor, you must approach him slowly and gently, with sweet rather than bitter words, full of virtue and benefit, and speak fully on this matter so as to win his heart. All of us, O Krishna, would rather follow Duryodhana in humble submission than let the Bharatas be destroyed. O Vasudeva, act so that we may sooner live as strangers to the Kurus than let the sin that brings destruction upon the whole race touch them. O Krishna, let the aged grandfather and the other counselors of the Kurus be asked to awaken brotherly feeling between the brothers and to pacify the son of Dhritarashtra.
