译文

Narada said: "So too Madhavi, the glorious maiden, giving up her royal splendor and becoming a maiden once more, true to her promise, followed the brahmin Galava. Galava, reflecting and keeping his mind fixed on his task, went to Bhojanagara to see king Aushinara. Having come to that ruler whose valor was true to his word, he said: 'This maiden will bear you two kingly sons. Through her, O king, you will attain your purpose both in this world and after death, having begotten two sons resembling the moon and the sun. But as bride-price, O knower of all dharma, four hundred horses must be given to me — moon-bright, each with one black ear.'"
