दत्तं हुतम् अधीतं च ब्राह्मणास् तर्पिता धनैः ॥
आवयोर् गतम् आयुश् च कृतकृत्यौ च विद्धि नौ ॥
त्वं तु हित्वा सुखं राज्यं मित्राणि च धनानि च ॥
विग्रहं पाण्डवैः कृत्वा महद् व्यसनम् आप्स्यसि ॥
द्रौपदी यस्य चाशास्ते विजयं सत्यवादिनी ॥
तपोघोरव्रता देवी न त्वं जेष्यसि पाण्डवम् ॥
मन्त्री जनार्दनो यस्य भ्राता यस्य धनंजयः ॥
सर्वशस्त्रभृतां श्रेष्ठं कथं जेष्यसि पाण्डवम् ॥
सहाया ब्राह्मणा यस्य धृतिमन्तो जितेन्द्रियाः ॥
तम् उग्रतपसं वीरं कथं जेष्यसि पाण्डवम् ॥

sarvaśastrabhṛtāṃ śreṣṭhaṃ kathaṃ jeṣyasi pāṇḍavam ||
sahāyā brāhmaṇā yasya dhṛtimanto jitendriyāḥ ||
tam ugratapasaṃ vīraṃ kathaṃ jeṣyasi pāṇḍavam ||
"Gifts have been given, offerings poured into the fire, knowledge studied, brahmanas satisfied with wealth; our lives have already passed, and know that both of us have fulfilled our duty. But you, having abandoned happiness, kingdom, friends, and riches, and having entered into conflict with the Pandavas, will bring upon yourself a great calamity. Draupadi, the truthful queen, stern in her vows of austerity, hopes for the Pandava's victory: you will not defeat him. If his counselor is Janardana, and his brother is Dhananjaya, the foremost of all wielders of weapons, how will you defeat the Pandava? If his allies are steadfast brahmanas who have conquered their senses, how will you defeat this hero, fierce in his austerities?"
