译文

Vasudeva said: "Having gone to Hastinapura, I spoke true, beneficial, and good words to the son of Dhritarashtra in the assembly, but that ill-minded man does not accept them." Yudhishthira said: "O Hrishikesha, when he had entered upon the wrong path, what did the elder of the Kurus, grandfather Bhishma, say to the impatient Duryodhana? And what did the teacher, the son of Bharadvaja, say, O mighty-armed one? What did our younger father Vidura, the foremost among the upholders of dharma, burned by sorrow for his son, say to the son of Dhritarashtra? And what did all the kings seated in the assembly truly say? Tell me this, O Janardana. For the words of the two chiefs of the Kurus, overpowered by desire and greed, foolish yet thinking themselves wise, are unpleasant to my heart and do not remain in it."
