Arjuna said: 'O Madhusudana, for this yoga of equanimity that You have proclaimed, I do not see a steady footing, because of the mind's restlessness. For the mind is indeed restless, O Krishna — turbulent, powerful, and obstinate; I consider restraining it as difficult as the wind.' The Blessed Lord said: 'Without doubt, O mighty-armed one, the mind is restless and hard to restrain; but, O son of Kunti, it is mastered by practice and by detachment. For one who has not mastered himself, yoga is hard to attain — this is My view; but for one who has mastered himself and makes the effort, it is attainable through the right means.'

Arjuna does not hide the difficulty of the practice: the mind truly is powerful. Krishna's answer is practical and sober — not a denial of the difficulty, but two means: abhyasa and vairagya, constant practice and detachment.
