धृतराष्ट्र उवाच
आर्जुनिं समरे शूरं विनिघ्नन्तं महारथम् ॥
अलम्बुसः कथं युद्धे प्रत्ययुध्यत संजय ॥
आर्श्यशृङ्गिं कथं चापि सौभद्रः परवीरहा ॥
तन् ममाचक्ष्व तत्त्वेन यथा वृत्तं स्म संयुगे ॥
धनंजयश् च किं चक्रे मम सैन्येषु संजय ॥
भीमो वा बलिनां श्रेष्ठो राक्षसो वा घटोत्कचः ॥
नकुलः सहदेवो वा सात्यकिर् वा महारथः ॥
एतद् आचक्ष्व मे सर्वं कुशलो ह्य् असि संजय ॥

dhanaṃjayaś ca kiṃ cakre mama sainyeṣu saṃjaya ||

nakulaḥ sahadevo vā sātyakir vā mahārathaḥ ||
etad ācakṣva me sarvaṃ kuśalo hy asi saṃjaya ||
Dhritarashtra said: "Sanjaya, how did Alambusa in battle withstand the brave son of Arjuna, the great chariot-warrior who was crushing warriors? And how did Saubhadra, slayer of enemy heroes, fight with Arshyashringi? Tell me this exactly, as it all happened in the battle. What did Dhananjaya do among my troops, Sanjaya? What did Bhima, best of the mighty, do, or the rakshasa Ghatotkacha? What did Nakula, Sahadeva, and the great chariot-warrior Satyaki do? Tell me all of this, for you are indeed skilled, Sanjaya."
