सत्यं तु ते ब्रवीम्य् अद्य नैतज् जात्व् अन्यथा भवेत् ॥
अद्यैषां प्रवरं वीरं पातयिष्ये महारथम् ॥
तं च व्यूहं विधास्यामि यो ऽभेद्यस् त्रिदशैर् अपि ॥
योगेन केन चिद् राजन्न् अर्जुनस् त्व् अपनीयताम् ॥
न ह्य् अज्ञातम् असाध्यं वा तस्य संख्ये ऽस्ति किं चन ॥
तेन ह्य् उपात्तं बलवत् सर्वज्ञानम् इतस् ततः ॥

"But truly I say to you: this will now in no way be otherwise — today I will fell their best hero, the great charioteer-warrior. And I will build such an array that it is unbreakable even by the gods; if only, O king, by some trick Arjuna be drawn off. For indeed there is nothing unknown or beyond his powers for him in battle: he has acquired great knowledge of every kind from everywhere."
