श्रद्धया परया तप्तं तपस्तत्त्रिविधं नरैः ।
अफलाकाङ्क्षिभिर्युक्तैः सात्त्विकं परिचक्षते ॥

śraddhayā parayā taptaṁ tapas tat tri-vidhaṁ naraiḥ |
aphalākāṅkṣibhir yuktaiḥ sāttvikaṁ paricakṣate ||
