हृष्टो ऽब्रवीन् महातेजास् तौ नासत्याव् इदं वचः ॥
यथाहं रूपसंपन्नो वयसा च समन्वितः ॥
कृतो भवद्भ्यां वृद्धः सन् भार्यां च प्राप्तवान् इमाम् ॥
तस्माद् युवां करिष्यामि प्रीत्याहं सोमपीथिनौ ॥
मिषतो देवराजस्य सत्यम् एतद् ब्रवीमि वाम् ॥
तच् छ्रुत्वा हृष्टमनसौ दिवं तौ प्रतिजग्मतुः ॥
च्यवनो ऽपि सुकन्या च सुराव् इव विजह्रतुः ॥

tasmād yuvāṃ kariṣyāmi prītyāhaṃ somapīthinau ||

tac chrutvā hṛṣṭamanasau divaṃ tau pratijagmatuḥ ||
cyavano 'pi sukanyā ca surāv iva vijahratuḥ ||

Translation

Having obtained his wife, and the age and beauty he desired, the greatly radiant Chyavana joyfully said this to the Nasatyas: 'Since you have made me, an old man, handsome and young, and I have obtained this wife, I shall, out of love, make you drinkers of soma before the eyes of the king of the gods. I speak this truth to you.' Hearing this, they returned to heaven with joyful hearts, while Chyavana and Sukanya rejoiced like two gods.
