Yudhishthira said: "Let us all go together, quickly, to where Vrikodara has gone. Let the rakshasas carry the weary and weakened brahmins; and you, Ghatotkacha, like unto the immortals, carry Krishna [Draupadi]. I think Bhima has gone far: he is swift as Vayu, and on earth he leaps like Vainateya; he can soar into the sky and land wherever he wishes. Let us follow him by your strength, night-wanderers, before he offends the siddhas and the brahmavadins." The rakshasas led by Hidimba, who knew the way to Kubera's lake, agreed. They took up the Pandavas and many brahmins and, together with Lomasha, set out joyfully on their way.

Yudhishthira acts quickly, but not out of panic. What troubles him is not only Bhima's safety but the possibility of offending holy beings; for a king this too is a real danger.
