सुदेष्णोवाच
एवं त्वां वासयिष्यामि यथा त्वं नन्दिनीच्छसि ॥
न च पादौ न चोच्छिष्टं स्प्रक्ष्यसि त्वं कथं चन ॥
वैशंपायन उवाच
एवं कृष्णा विराटस्य भार्यया परिसान्त्विता ॥
न चैनां वेद तत्रान्यस् तत्त्वेन जनमेजय ॥
sudeṣṇovāca
evaṃ tvāṃ vāsayiṣyāmi yathā tvaṃ nandinīcchasi ||
na ca pādau na cocchiṣṭaṃ sprakṣyasi tvaṃ kathaṃ cana ||
vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca
evaṃ kṛṣṇā virāṭasya bhāryayā parisāntvitā ||
na caināṃ veda tatrānyas tattvena janamejaya ||
Sudeshna said: 'I will house you just as you wish, O joyful one. You will never have to touch either feet or leftovers.' Vaishampayana said: 'Thus Krishna was comforted by Virata's wife, and no one else there truly recognized her, Janamejaya.'
