पदातिनं तु कौन्तेयं युध्यमानं नरर्षभाः ॥
नाशक्नुवन् वारयितुं तद् अद्भुतम् इवाभवत् ॥
आपतत्सु रथौघेषु प्रभूतगजवाजिषु ॥
नासंभ्रमत् तदा पार्थस् तद् अस्य पुरुषान् अति ॥

padātinaṃ tu kaunteyaṃ yudhyamānaṃ nararṣabhāḥ ||
nāśaknuvan vārayituṃ tad adbhutam ivābhavat ||
āpatatsu rathaugheṣu prabhūtagajavājiṣu ||
nāsaṃbhramat tadā pārthas tad asya puruṣān ati ||

Translation

The bull-like men could not restrain Kaunteya, though on foot, as he fought — that was as if a wonder. When streams of chariots with a multitude of elephants and horses rushed upon him, Partha was not troubled then — that quality in him surpasses all men.
