शनैर् विश्रम्भयन्न् अश्वान् याहि यत्तो ऽरिवाहिनीम् ॥
त्रैते नुत्राणाः सुयोपुरोमाः
दंशिताः क्रूर्माणः काम्बोजा युद्धदुर्मदाः
बाणारा नाश् प्रहारिणः
काः किराता दा र्बरास् ताम्रलिप्तकाः
न्ये वो म्लेच्छा विविधायुपायः
माम् वाभिमुखाः र्वे तिष्ठन्ति रार्थिनः
तान् नागाश्वान् नित्याजौ त्तिनः
दं दुर्गं हाघोरं तीर्णम् वोधा

śanair viśrambhayann aśvān yāhi yatto 'rivāhinīm ||
yatraite satanutrāṇāḥ suyodhanapurogamāḥ ||
daṃśitāḥ krūrakarmāṇaḥ mbo yuddhadurmadāḥ ||
śaraṇāsanadha yavaś ca prariṇaḥ ||
śakāḥ ki dara barbas tāmraliptakāḥ ||
anye ca bahavo mlecchā vividhāyudhaṇayaḥ ||
m ebhimukhāḥ sarve tiṣṭhanti samarthinaḥ ||
en sarathaśvān nihatyājau sapattinaḥ ||
idaṃ durgaṃ maghoraṃ rṇam evopadhāraya ||

Translation

"Unhurried, giving the horses rest, drive, prepared, [against] the enemy host, where these, [in] armor, [led] by Suyodhana, mailed, cruel in deed, the Kambojas, frenzied in battle, bearing arrows [and] bows, and the Yavanas, smiting; the Shakas, Kiratas, Daradas, Barbaras, Tamraliptakas, and other numerous mlecchas, [with] various weapons in hand. Having slain these, with chariots, elephants, horses, together with the infantry, in battle, consider this most terrible fortress [already] crossed."
