मेघजालनिभं सैन्यं तव पुत्रस्य मारिष ॥
प्रत्यगृह्णाच् छिनेः पौत्रः शरैर् आशीविषोपमैः ॥
प्रच्छाद्यमानः समरे शरजालैः स वीर्यवान् ॥
असंभ्रमं महाराज तावकान् अवधीद् बहून् ॥
आश्चर्यं तत्र राजेन्द्र सुमहद् दृष्टवान् अहम् ॥
न मोघः सायकः कश् चित् सात्यकेर् अभवत् प्रभो ॥
meghajālanibhaṃ sainyaṃ tava putrasya māriṣa ||
pratyagṛhṇāc chineḥ pautraḥ śarair āśīviṣopamaiḥ ||
pracchādyamānaḥ samare śarajālaiḥ sa vīryavān ||
asaṃbhramaṃ mahārāja tāvakān avadhīd bahūn ||
āścaryaṃ tatra rājendra sumahad dṛṣṭavān aham ||
na moghaḥ sāyakaḥ kaś cit sātyaker abhavat prabho ||
[Like] a mass of clouds, the army of your son, O honored one, the grandson of Śini received with arrows resembling vipers. Enveloped in battle by nets of arrows, he, mighty, without confusion, O great king, slew many of your [men]. A wonder there, O lord of kings, exceedingly great did I behold: not a single arrow of Sātyaki's was in vain, O lord.

"Na moghaḥ sāyakaḥ kaścit" — not one of Satyaki's arrows is in vain: focus carries every effort through to its mark. It is telling that this is reckoned "āścaryam," a wonder. The verse teaches that composure and precision turn every labor into fruit: where others waste their efforts, nothing is lost for one who has mastered himself — for a mind undistracted by fear and haste carries each of its actions through to its end.
