यच् च विक्षोभ्य महतीं सेनां संलोड्य चासकृत् ॥
एकः प्रविष्टः संक्रुद्धो नलिनीम् इव कुञ्जरः ॥
तस्य वृष्णिप्रवीरस्य ब्रूहि युद्धं यथातथम् ॥
धनंजयार्थे यत् तस्य कुशलो ह्य् असि संजय ॥
yac ca vikṣobhya mahatīṃ senāṃ saṃloḍya cāsakṛt ||
ekaḥ praviṣṭaḥ saṃkruddho nalinīm iva kuñjaraḥ ||
tasya vṛṣṇipravīrasya brūhi yuddhaṃ yathātatham ||
dhanaṃjayārthe yat tasya kuśalo hy asi saṃjaya ||
"And of that — how, having stirred the great army and churned it repeatedly, he entered it alone, enraged, like an elephant into a lotus pond — tell me the battle of that hero of the Vrishnis [Satyaki], as it truly was, the battle he waged for Dhananjaya's sake; for you are skilled in this, Sanjaya."

The image of the elephant alone churning a lotus pond paints solitary valor cutting through a whole army. It is telling that Satyaki's feat is done "for Dhananjaya's sake" — not for himself, but in service to a friend. The verse teaches that the highest valor is that moved not by self-interest but by devotion; and a lone hero going into the thick of enemies for another's sake is worth an entire army fighting for itself.
