न तं पश्यामि लोकेषु चिन्तयन् पुरुषं क्व चित् ॥
त्वद् ऋते पुरुषव्याघ्र य एतद् योधयेद् बलम् ॥
महाप्रभावा बहवस् त्वया तुल्याधिकापि वा ॥
समेताः पृथिवीपाला धार्तराष्ट्रस्य कारणात् ॥
ते त्वां प्राप्य रणे क्रुद्धं नाभ्यवर्तन्त दंशिताः ॥
तव वीर्यं बलं चैव रुद्रशक्रान्तकोपमम् ॥
नेदृशं शक्नुयात् कश् चिद् रणे कर्तुं पराक्रमम् ॥
यादृशं कृतवान् अद्य त्वम् एकः शत्रुतापनः ॥
एवम् एव हते कर्णे सानुबन्धे दुरात्मनि ॥
वर्धयिष्यामि भूयस् त्वां विजितारिं हतद्विषम् ॥

"I do not see that man in any world, however I ponder, besides you, tiger among men, who would do battle with this army. Mighty, many kings, equal to you or even greater, have gathered for the sake of Dhritarashtra's son. Your valor and strength are like Rudra, Shakra, and Antaka; no one could display such prowess in battle. And thus too, when Karna, the evil-souled one, is slain together with his kin, I shall exalt you further still, conqueror who has slain your enemies."

Krishna praises Arjuna's valor as unmatched — yet also promises to "exalt him further": the Lord's grace is not exhausted by a single victory. It is telling that the praise is measured — Karna still lies ahead: the path is not yet ended. The verse teaches that recognition from above encourages but does not lull to rest; and one whom the Lord praises for a deed accomplished is at once called to a new one, for His favor leads from feat to feat, not to repose upon laurels.
