सायाह्ने सैन्धवं हत्वा राज्ञा पार्थः समेत्य च ॥
सात्यकिश् च महेष्वासो द्रोणम् एवाभ्यधावताम् ॥
तथा युधिष्ठिरस् तूर्णं भीमसेनश् च पाण्डवः ॥
पृथक् चमूभ्यां संसक्तौ द्रोणम् एवाभ्यधावताम् ॥
तथैव नकुलो धीमान् सहदेवश् च दुर्जयः ॥
धृष्टद्युम्नः शतानीको विराटश् च सकेकयः ॥
मत्स्याः शाल्वेयसेनाश् च द्रोणम् एव ययुर् युधि ॥
द्रुपदश् च तथा राजा पाञ्चालैर् अभिरक्षितः ॥
धृष्टद्युम्नपिता राजन् द्रोणम् एवाभ्यवर्तत ॥

sāyāhne saindhavaṃ hatvā rājñā pārthaḥ sametya ca ||
sātyakiś ca maheṣvāso droṇam evābhyadhāvatām ||
tathā yudhiṣṭhiras tūrṇaṃ bhīmasenaś ca pāṇḍavaḥ ||
pṛthak camūbhyāṃ saṃsaktau droṇam evābhyadhāvatām ||
tathaiva nakulo dhīmān sahadevaś ca durjayaḥ ||
dhṛṣṭadyumnaḥ śatānīko virāṭaś ca sakekayaḥ ||
matsyāḥ śālveyasenāś ca droṇam eva yayur yudhi ||
drupadaś ca tathā rājā pāñcālair abhirakṣitaḥ ||
dhṛṣṭadyumnapitā rājan droṇam evābhyavartata ||

Translation

[Sanjaya:] At evening, having slain Saindhava, Partha, having joined with the king, and Satyaki, the great archer, charged at Drona. So too Yudhishthira swiftly, and Bhimasena the Pandava, separately, each with his own army, charged at Drona. Likewise wise Nakula and unconquerable Sahadeva, Dhrishtadyumna, Shatanika, and Virata with the Kekayas, and king Drupada, guarded by the Panchalas, the father of Dhrishtadyumna, o king, charged at Drona.
