Chapter 1 — Paramahaṁsa Upaniṣad18 verses

On the highest rank of the renounced — the paramahaṃsas, who have neither staff, nor marks, nor dwelling. The book sharply separates renunciation as a status from renunciation as a state, and says only the second has worth.
