तं च प्राप्तवती कृष्णा न सा भेदयितुं सुखम् ॥

Here even an enemy attests to Draupadi's fidelity. It is telling that Karna points out: she chose the Pandavas in poverty, not for gain — and so her devotion is unbreakable. Here it becomes clear that a loyalty not purchased by advantage remains incorruptible thereafter: one who loved in poverty will not desert in prosperity. Thus the scripture reveals the purity of Draupadi's love; and even the enemy finds in her no crack for discord.
