सुन्दोपसुन्दाव् ऊचतुः
त्रिषु लोकेषु यद् भूतं किं चित् स्थावरजङ्गमम् ॥
सर्वस्मान् नौ भयं न स्याद् ऋते ऽन्योन्यं पितामह ॥
पितामह उवाच
यत् प्रार्थितं यथोक्तं च कामम् एतद् ददानि वाम् ॥
मृत्योर् विधानम् एतच् च यथावद् वां भविष्यति ॥

triṣu lokeṣu yad bhūtaṃ kiṃ cit sthāvarajaṅgamam ||
sarvasmān nau bhayaṃ na syād ṛte 'nyonyaṃ pitāmaha ||
pitāmaha uvāca
yat prārthitaṃ yathoktaṃ ca kāmam etad dadāni vām ||
mṛtyor vidhānam etac ca yathāvad vāṃ bhaviṣyati ||

Traducción

Sunda and Upasunda said: "Whatever being there is in the three worlds, unmoving or moving, may we have no fear of any of them, save of each other, O Grandsire." Brahma said: "What has been asked, and as it has been said -- this wish I grant you; and this form of death shall be yours accordingly."
