सा तथेति प्रतिज्ञाय नमस्कृत्य पितामहम् ॥
चकार मण्डलं तत्र विबुधानां प्रदक्षिणम् ॥
प्राङ्मुखो भगवान् आस्ते दक्षिणेन महेश्वरः ॥
देवाश् चैवोत्तरेणासन् सर्वतस् त्व् ऋषयो ऽभवन् ॥

Here even before the deed is accomplished, reverence shows itself. It is significant that Tilottama first bows and circles the assembly to the right: even an instrument of providence acts with reverence. In this is a lesson: even in service one must observe the rite of respect. Thus scripture shows due ceremony; and her circumambulation will become an unwitting trial for the gods themselves.
