तिलोत्तमायां तु तदा गतायां लोकभावनः ॥
सर्वान् विसर्जयाम् आस देवान् ऋषिगणांश् च तान् ॥

Here, having arranged the matter, the Grandsire disperses the assembly. It is telling that Brahma dismisses the gods only after Tilottama has been sent on her way: the design has been set in motion, and its outcome is entrusted to Providence. The lesson here is that what is ordained from above will surely come to pass in its own time. The verse shows the council brought to its close; the fate of Sunda and Upasunda is already sealed, though they do not yet know it.
