Here the hero's touch dissolves a curse. It is significant that the monster, drawn out by Arjuna, at once turns into a wondrous maiden: the righteous [hero] becomes a deliverer from enchantment. Contact with the holy [or its instrument] frees from an accursed fate. Thus the scripture reveals deliverance; and Arjuna, without knowing it, grants freedom to a prisoner of fate.
